University and the Licensee will enter into a separate agreement that will set out
the days on which the Licensee will make the Room available as a Show Flat and
the proportionate rebate of the Licence Fee that the Universitywill pay the Licensee
for this usage of the Room.
3.10.
Suspension
Without prejudice to the University’s right to terminate this Licence under clause
7.2, where in the reasonable opinion of the University, the Licensee presents a
significant risk to the health and/or safety of other residents and/or students
and/or University staff, theUniversitymay suspend the Licensee’s right to occupy
theRoom.
Upon reasonablewritten notice being given to the Licensee by the University that
the Licensee’s right to occupy the Room is suspended (what constitutes a
reasonable notice period in the circumstances being in the University’s sole
and absolute discretion), the Licensee shall vacate the Room and accommodation
in theHalls of Residence until such time as any disciplinary proceedings under the
Residential Disciplinary Procedure and/or the University’s Regulations on Student
Discipline and/or criminal proceedings (including investigations) commenced
against the Licensee are concluded. When the proceedings are concluded, the
University may either lift the suspension or terminate this Licence (see the
University’s right to terminate under clause 7.2). The obligation on the Licensee
to pay the Licence Fee continues during the period of suspension and the Licensee
is also responsible for payment of any accommodation fees incurred by the
Licensee andwhich are owed to a thirdparty.
Where the Licensee is found not guilty of the charges laid in accordance with the
University’s Regulations on Student Discipline, the University shall reimburse the
proportion of Licence Feepaidby the Licensee during the periodof suspension.
The Licensee may appeal against the suspension of the right to occupy the Room
in accordance with the procedure laid down in the Residential Disciplinary
Procedure and/or theUniversity’sRegulations onStudent Discipline

Nothing in this clause 3.10 shall prejudice any statutory rights the Licensee may have in
respect of protection from eviction, and the University will be required to obtain a court
order to evict the Licenseewhere he/she refuses to vacate the Room.
4.
FINANCIALMATTERS
4.1.
The Deposit
4.1.1.
If the booking of the Room is concluded by the confirmation procedure contained in
the University’s on-line booking system or by any procedure which is not in person,
then this Licence is formed at the later of:
(a) confirmation of the booking by the Licensee; and
(b) receipt by the University of the Licensee’s Deposit provided that the Deposit
must be received no later than 7 days after the date on which the Licensee
confirms its booking through the University’s on-line booking system or
other remote procedure after which the offer of accommodation by the
University will lapse unless the University at its absolute discretion agrees to
accept the booking.
4.1.2.
If the booking of the Room is concluded in person, then this Agreement is formed
either at the later of:
(a) the date that this signed Licence is received by the University following an
offer of a Room beingmade to the Licensee by the University; and
(b) receipt by the University of the Deposit;
or (if earlier) on the date that the Licensee takes up occupation of the Room.
